The Individuality of Arthritis
Arthritis is the general term used to describe conditions that affect the joints of the body. There are some types of arthritis that impact muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and even internal organs. "Although we use the word arthritis as if it is one specific medical condition, there are actually more than 100 different types that can affect anyone from infants to older adults. In fact, more than 70 million adults and 300,000 children have some form of arthritis and more than half of all people with arthritis are younger than age 65."
